FAQ

Black and white piece of paper with bullet points.

The Virtual Police Academy Solution.

There are several features included in this app such as tracking the time it takes for you to complete 1.5 miles, predicting how much time will need to be cut off to pass the physical fitness test, hiding flashcards that you have already learned, and being able to bring  them back when you want to continue studying.

Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of these features.

Q: How to Hide/Remove Flashcards

The app will automatically open to the flashcard section. You will see the list of categories and be able to select what you would like to study. Once you have made your selection, a screen with a card reading “Question” will appear.

Below the card is the word “Remove.” Press the “Remove” button and you should get a dialogue box telling you how to complete the removal:

This card will be removed next time you view this category.

You can add it back in the “Manage” section.

Press “OK” and then “Back,” this will take you back to the list of categories. From here, you can navigate back to the category you were studying and the card will no longer appear.

Q: How to Bring Back Hidden/Removed Cards

Choose a category and once the first question card has been brought up, press the button in the upper right-hand corner that says “Manage.” This will open the Administration settings.

From here, you will be able to see how each flashcard category breaks down. Down the right side of the screen are On/Off switches. Any cards that you have hidden will have the category setting turned off and will appear white, while the ones you are currently studying will be turned on and will appear green.

Scroll through until you find the category that you would like to bring back and toggle the switch from “Off” to “On.”

You can also choose the “Toggle All” button in the upper right-hand corner. This will turn all of the switches from “On” to “Off” or vise versa.

Q: How to Use the Physical Fitness Stopwatch

With this section of the app, all you have to do is set your age and gender before you begin training. Once you press “Start,” the app will track the time it takes you to complete 1.5 miles.

After you’ve finished, press “Stop” and the app will display your results. This includes the date, how long you ran for, and the amount of time you would need to cut to pass the physical fitness test.
